Album3D, powered by Universe3D, is a new way to experience your photos in immersive, interactive 3D: each album becomes a 3D scene you can move through, with switchable 3D layouts and a project system that can bundle everything into a single .album3d file. Future releases will add 3D worlds and game‑like experiences that use your own photos.

Album3D is almost here — and it’s built on Universe3D, the 3D technology behind the Universe app.

For years, digital photo albums have been stuck in flat grids and simple slideshows. Album3D changes that by taking your existing 2D photos and placing them inside an interactive 3D space, powered by Universe3D. Instead of just scrolling, you move through a scene composed of your images.

What Album3D does

Album3D offers a new way to explore and present your photos. Rather than a traditional slideshow, each album becomes a 3D scene where your images are arranged in space with depth and perspective. The photos themselves stay as regular 2D pictures — what becomes 3D is the environment they’re in and how you navigate around them.

In the first release, you’ll be able to:

  • Build 3D “albums” from your existing photos
  • Switch between different 3D layouts and viewing angles
  • Import, organize, and manage multiple albums
  • Preview and fine‑tune your 3D scenes before sharing or presenting

The goal is to keep the experience approachable for everyday users, while still being useful for photographers and creators who care about how their images are shown.

Who it’s for

Album3D is designed for:

  • Photographers who want a more engaging, interactive way to present their work
  • Families and travelers who want to move through their memories rather than flip through static thumbnails
  • Studios and creators who need immersive 3D visuals for clients, galleries, or events

Under the hood, Album3D uses a project-based system: each Album3D project defines its albums, their slides, and related information. When you’re ready to share or archive, everything can be packaged into a single .album3d file.

What’s next

After the initial launch, we plan to extend the 3D side further with features like:

  • Choosing different 3D worlds for your albums
  • Selecting interactive 3D games where your own photos appear inside the game world

These world and game selection features are planned for upcoming releases.

Launching July 2026

We’re currently polishing the experience and preparing the first public releases.

Album3D, built on Universe3D, is coming in July. It’s your photos, still 2D — but now arranged in 3D space instead of a flat grid.
